Saimoe 08: And the Winner is…

Kagami!!! winning the tournament with 1037 votes versus her sister Tsukasa who only brought in 976. Still a close contest. It was fun while it lasted, but KyoAni had some steam behind them this year with the majority of the finalists being Lucky Star and Clannad characters. Thanks to After Story the Clannad cast should be back for next year, hopefully Tomoyo can go the distance. Also looking forward to when Hinagiku and Mikuru can return.

Saimoe 08: The Finals

I was voting for Hinagiku, but sadly she didn’t make it. She was close, OHHhhhhh so close. She’ll be back and next time she’ll win.  As for how things stand right now, I’m going to have to vote for Kagami, but the fact that the final round is Sister vs Sister is pretty epic in of itself.

I somehow missed the end of A-B to post the results, and with how quick this round is going, I just waited till the end of C-D to do one post. As always the pics are beyond the break.

Not as exciting as other weeks, Clannad and Lucky Star are still doing well, rather surprised and excited that Amu has made it this far. Minami Kei is surprising me, and looks to be a hard team to beat.

Round 2 has begun, and there have already been a few upsets.

I also realized just how horrible my red X thing looked(someone could have told me). SO I have also redesigned how I do my pictures(hence the being a day late.) I believe them to be just as easy to read, maybe even better then they were with X’s.

Saimoe 2008: End of Round 1

So round one has ended. Round two shall start on the 22nd, and four days after that I should have a pic up showing the results for groups A and B.

Until then, you can find groups G and H beyond the break as well as a full card of all the groups with X’s on the characters that have already lost. (I give both just so you can have the choice.)

Here’s the first round matches for Groups E-F. If you missed my first post with A-D’s first round you can find that here. Some unexpected results, but still enjoyable watching whats going on.

Saimoe Tournament 2008

The Saimoe Tournament is an all out war between Otaku fought over which anime girl is this year’s definition of Moe.

If you’re interested I suggest hitting up Kurogane’s blog, every year he does a daily update as the tournament goes with vote counts and everything.

What am I doing though? Well, I like to have a picture showing who lost and who’s still in. So that’s what I did, and instead of just keeping it to myself I’ll be posting them here as the thing goes. So check after the break for some pictures of the results so far.
